Wa'tkwanonhwerá:ton Sewakwé:kon,
Kahnawà:ke Survival School (KSS) is a secondary school within the Kanien’kehá:ka territory of Kahnawà:ke, offering culturally relevant education to the community since1978.
Our students are encouraged to strengthen their identities as Onkwehón:we people by applying our ancestral knowledge within contemporary issues and topics of modern society.
KSS offers a wide range of support services to help our students in reaching their full potential, from academic resource support to emotional/health/wellbeing support. Our team of qualified service providers are dedicated to ensuring your child(ren) is well
taken care of.
Upon graduating from KSS, it is our hope that all students feel confident in who they are and the culture in which their identities are rooted. Many of our Alumni returned to KSS as teachers and support staff to provide the same meaningful experience in education they once received as students. Others have accomplished endeavours in management, post-secondary education, healthcare, and language/culture revitalization.
At KSS, we believe that all students deserve the opportunity to be successful in whatever paths they choose. Each student strengthens the Seven Generations philosophy and contributes to the growth of our community’s journey towards cultural reclamation.
